Wrexham caravan dealership taken over

Wrexham caravan dealership Barrons has been taken over by East Yorkshire based Discover Leisure, owner of Harringtons Caravans and Leisure World. Barrons has a total of seven dealerships across the UK which have all been taken over by Discover Leisure.
The Barrons branch in Wrexham is on Dunster Road, Wrexham Industrial Estate, and it employs 11 people. It becomes Discover Leisure’s only base in North Wales.

Wrexham power growers

A couple from Wrexham are supplying two Asda stores in North Wales with Welsh-grown blueberries. David and Gill Watson-Butterworth will be supplying the fruit from their Bettisfield farm to supermarkets in Wrexham and Llandudno.

More firms going bust

According to business advisory firm Deloitte, Wales saw a 10% increase in the number of firms going into administration in the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2006. Across the UK there was a 15% decrease.
