Rate cut hopes

A majority of small business owners in Wales want to see interest rates cut at this week’s Monetary Policy Committee. Research by Bank of Scotland Buiness Banking reveals eight out of every ten of small business owners were in favour of a cut, with only one in seven wanting them pegged.

North Wales’ companies urged to enter awards

Businesses from North Wales are being urged to enter the Wales International Trade Awards. Twelve regional winners, including one from Wales, will attend a gala awards ceremony early in 2009 at which the overall UK winner for 2008 will be announced.
