Spotlight North Wales - Sustainable Future

Join us at Venue Cymru , Llandudno, on Friday 7th November 2008, for Spotlight North Wales - Sustainable Future, a showcase event dedicated to exploring ways in which the region’s businesses and organisations can plan for a bright future.

Hosted by the North Wales Economic Forum and made possible through the collaboration of twelve professional organisations, this year’s conference will be an inspiring and thought-provoking experience and builds on last year’s groundbreaking event, Spotlight North Wales - Time to Shine.

Spotlight North Wales is designed to bring people together, create positive working relationships, and stimulate thinking on ways in which we are all challenged to reassess the way we do business in the 21st century. The conference will consider ways of developing successful, profitable organisations that also take social and environmental responsibilities into account.Come along and find out how this ‘triple bottom line’ approach to business can assist in building vibrant, sustainable organisations across North Wales.

David Smith of strategic futures think-tank, Global Futures and Foresight joins us to provide insight into ways of becoming more successful and less exposed to risk through understanding the opportunities and threats that lie ahead over the next five years.
Deirdre Bounds

We will also be joined by Deirdre Bounds, one of Britain’s most creative and successful entrepreneurs who, within ten years, went from bed-sit to exit and became a multi-millionaire selling her ethical travel company i-to-i to the largest travel corporation in the world. Through sheer hard work and determination she has made travel industry history by changing people’s perceptions of the ‘responsible travel’ movement.

The conference will be officially opened by Ieuan Wyn Jones, Deputy First Minister and Minister for the Economy and Transport, Welsh Assembly Government.

With informative breakout sessions, an extensive business exhibition and excellent networking opportunities throughout the day Spotlight North Wales - Sustainable Future is an event not to be missed!
