The Government’s purview appears to be unclear as at least one major bank has announced that the full reduction will not be passed on to its customers. This sounds eerily similar to position before the financial crisis.

As the debate continues between the free market economy and an interventionist strategy, what is plainly clear, is that one seems to be declaring that they are in charge and then laying down the law of the land; in this instance insisting that the rate cut be passed on.

I went to one of Robert Craven’s seminars last year and I found him to be very inspirational - a real business guru. Considering places at his seminars usually cost £200+ this event is going to get booked up fast.

This article makes a lot of sense. During these tough economic times businesses are looking for any ideas to give them that edge. The local business advertising space is starting to become pretty crowded. Currently Yelp and Citysearch are king but it’s smaller sites like jippidy.com that are starting to come up.

Hi Jen,

No, we are not currently planning to cap the particpants.
We also think that this is a good deal for the participating businesses.
We wanted to offer an advertising deal which would give each takeaway or food delivery service the chance to see if the website would be of real benefit to them before parting with any cash, once on the website it’s then up to us to prove it’s worth to them.
